Guilds

Guilds are a way for players to group together and reap communal rewards.

Creation and management

There is a button in the topbar that looks like crossed swords which brings up the guild menu when clicked. Players need at least 30 wins in order to create a guild, but no wins are deducted during guild creation. A guild owner may invite other players to join the guild with a limit of 10 outgoing invites and 50 members. Players may freely leave guilds and decline invites. A guild owner may also delete their guild or kick their members.

Details

All guilds have a tag, which is essentially their name. It can be between one and seven letters inclusive. They also may have a description of up to 100 characters. The guild's total statistics among all members are visible: Bridge Wins, Bridge Goals, Bridge Kills, and Boxing Wins. The guild's level is displayed below the statistics along with XP progress for the next level. On the right side (or middle, if the viewing user is the guild owner) is a list of all members; the owner is on top with a crown next to their username, and from then on it is listed by XP descending. Each player's statistics are shown under their username, along with the date that they joined the guild. However, the values shown are according to how much the player gained since joining the guild.

XP boost

Each bit of XP the player gains goes towards their guild's total XP. The guild can level up according to the same formula as the player level formula. Each level rewards all players in the guild with a 1% XP boost, so level 5 means that a member will get an additional 5% for each bit of XP they receive. However, the XP that goes towards their guild's total is not influenced by XP boosts, and instead uses the default values.

History

Release

Guilds released on 2023 December 10. Many guilds were created like Ginger Cat (GC) and Infinite (INN). After a bit of chaos, four main guilds emerged:

• The Okay Association (TOA) owned by Breter98.
• Elven (ELVEN) owned by DarkenedRing.
• Parkour Kings (PK) owned by ToastBloxy and JB21.
• Sword (SWORD) owned by Bartek.

The guild XP leaderboard was ordered as listed with TOA in first. Shortly after, ELVEN took the lead in XP. Ring used to be part of TOA, but then he left to create ELVEN, so TOA, SWORD, and PK allied against ELVEN. Toast had also used to be a part of TOA before creating PK, however he maintained an alliance with Breter and his guild.

Discord servers

On the day that guilds were released, Bartek became the first to make a Discord server for his guild, SWORD, despite the fact that the guild had no members. On 2023 December 27, Toast released the official PK guild server to the public. Many members flooded in to check out the second Roblox Bridge Duel fan server. However, Breter insulted the server saying that Toast used a template. This greatly stressed Toast as he had spent hours on perfecting the server. To add insult to injury, Breter made his own fanserver for TOA. This event started tension between the TOA guild and PK guild. The TOA server was tremendously disrespectful towards ELVEN as members of ELVEN can only chat in #elven-jail-cell.

JB21 scandal

On 2023 December 27, Breter (owner of TOA) asked JB21 (co-owner of PK) to join TOA. JB21 promised to join if Breter made a custom jellybean texture pack for JB21. Breter spent hours creating the Beanfault texture pack, even making the hotbar textures spell out J B 2 1.

On 2023 December 28, JB21 scammed Breter and, in fact, did not join TOA. In retaliation, Breter released the pack to the public. It turns out that ToastBloxy (owner of PK) actually knew about it beforehand and did not tell Breter98. Toast apologised on behalf of PK but reminded Breter that it was wrong of him to steal members. Breter claims that he did not know that JB21 was the co-owner of PK, though this may not help his reputation as member stealing continues to be a hot topic for debate. Tension grew between TOA and PK as they were meant to to be allies, but Breter tried to steal a member. Additionally, Breter insulted ELVEN saying that they also steal members, but that ELVEN does so with less effort.

TooSpecial exit

On 2023 December 28, TooSpecial left TOA to join SWORD. Breter gave permission and said that he is fine with it, so there is no conflict. Special also assures that he will continue to support TOA. This was actually SWORD's first member, while other guilds have already reached into the tens and twenties in member counts.

On the 30th of December 2023, Breter98 had the idea of deleting TOA to merge with SWORD. The main reason he made this choice is to overtake ELVEN. Aditionally, he lost motivation to continue TOA, thus doing the merge. He took some screenshots of the guild before it faced its inevitable death.

ELVEN overtaken

On 2024 January 17, SWORD became #1 on the guild XP leaderboard with 85510 XP. This has been a long time coming ever since the TOA merge. It seems that SWORD will continue to accelerate in growth and dominate as the top guild with about four highly active players.

BWO origins

The BWO guild was created on 2024 May 05. The name origin is a little complicated.

• There is a guy named Christopher.
• Around 2019, his Roblox account got hacked.
• He wanted to make a new account called ChristopherIsBoss.
• He wanted to make it sound weird.
• He modified the name and instead created Cwisstoferisbwos.
• He wanted to create a BedWars clan based on the end of his username.
• He created BWO clan since it looks cooler than BWOS and he thought BWOS was too long.
• He created this Bridge Duel guild based off the BedWars clan.

When Chris played Bridge Duel, he eventually found out guilds existed. He was inspired by GOD guild to create his own guild, so he brought his old BedWars guild into this game.

The guild grew steadily until early June when they were around top 16 on the guild XP leaderboard.

BWO versus ANT

ANT guild was owned by Fireantplays. On June 05, BWO declared war on them, mostly as a fun competition, considering that ANT was 40th and BWO was 10th on the leaderboard. Although the rivalry did not really accomplish anything, it caused BWO to grow in popularity.

BWO development

BWO invited the #1 player in XP at the time, Speedy. He grinded XP for the guild and managed the Discord server. Plus, he already had popularity, bringing more attention to the guild. On July 10, Chris, Azzurro, and Vscrumz decided to organise a tournament. However, Vscrumz was more focused on growing his guild, T guild. While BWO was working on the tournament, T managed to pull ahead of BWO on guild XP. Thus, BWO declared war on T.

BWO versus T

BWO declared war on T on July 12. Both guilds battled for first place on the guild XP leaderboard. At the time, the top guild was GOD. However, it died out and was only gaining about 10k XP per day. T was gaining 125k and BWO was gaining 250k. During this time, the player XP leaderboard rapidly changed, with Speedy achieving double the XP of second place and Azzurro and Chris achieving 2nd and 3rd, respectively. BWO continued to invite XP grinders to the point where 14 out of the top 16 and 35 out of the top 50 were in BWO. T become #1, but BWO quickly passed them on July 22.

BWO versus GOD

Fluff_prod left GOD for a few days to join BWO, but was secretly planning to overtake BWO. He worked with Bridge Duel administration to become owner of GOD guild with permission from Penguin, the owner of GOD guild at the time. Fluff slandered all the other guilds to encourage people to join his. BWO administrators got tired of this and dug up evidence of Fluff kill farming 1/4 of his total kills. This got him banned from the game and his statistics reset (around 2024 October 19).

BWO versus LMK

LMK then came to try to overtake BWO. During their peak, their daily XP gain was slightly above that of BWO. BWO took this seriously and grinded to the point where they hit level 700 as LMK hit level 400, placing LMK at #2 on the guild XP leaderboard. LMK relaxed after realising they could not beat BWO. They "remained a good guild but not good enough guild" (Christopher, 2025 May 05). Just to prove their dominance, BWO went into a 3v3 guild war with LMK, winning in Bridge and Basic Fight, resulting in a 2-1 victory.
